![]() only official answer from MS can clarify the real situation. I am also trying to find the answer to these qustion as i have three computers running OEM version ( 2-Xp ,1- vista home premium). As per EULA clause 20 guides you to contact the manufacurer/installer In the last it can be said you can not upgrade from a previuos OEM to new OEM version available. As per EULA clause 14 states that new agreement will takeover, if you are qualified for upgrade. 5-I think it is not posiible to upgrade to OEM xp/vista to OEM windows 7 as OEM media is for new hardware only 6 -this is gray area as OEM upgrade version does not exists.However OEM version do exists. 4-you should be entitled to any support from MS regarding software updates only(patches). ![]() so in this upgrade you should be treated as installer and all support related issues except updates are to handled by you. 3- now you are upgrading n your own and your system builder is not involved. 2-your OEM EULA was for previous version of your OS. ![]()
